Too Many Hyacinths In A Bowl
I have put to many Hyacinth bulbs in a bowl for Xmas display. Removed this evening from their dark place under the stairs to find the roots have pushed several bulbs out of the compost.!!!!!!!
HELP, Do you think I could CAREFULLY knock the bulbs & roots out and replant in bigger pot/bowl ????
WITH THEM SURVIVING THE ORDEAL ????

It's not an uncommon event in my experience - you could 'pot them on' carefully and they would be fine, but instead you could get some sphagnum moss from the florist, or even rake some out of the lawn if you have enough, and put it over the compost and bulb roots to hide the eruption and the bulbs will flower and all will look fine
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
I think the former seeing that the granddaughter had helped & she had expected to give out for presents.
Last years was a huge success but we got carried way this autumn try to improve on the previous display.
