In February of this year I planted 6 rose bushes in my small front garden It is mainly surfaced with small pebbles/stones but all the roses are doing well What do I need to do to protect them from frost and do i also need to cut them back at all
If they are large then cut back by a third to prevent wind rock, but you prune them low and feed in Spring. They are hardy , so need no protection against frost. The plant protects itself by dropping leaves.
If you've not pruned a rose before, it might be a good idea to look up how to do it on a website first. You need to prune dead or diseased stems first, then to outward facing buds to the centre of the bush stays fairly clear, it helps prevent diseases.

I've just done what Fidgetbones says as last of my flowers have just finished.
