Moving a conifer that has got too big
My boyfriend planted a number of conifers in our garden about 12 years ago. The garden is very small - about 9 x 7'. Now the trees have become overwhelming, and have started to shadow our neighbours' gardens. I am a complete gardening novice and am not sure what to do.
I think they should be removed but my boyfriend is very reluctant (their his babies) and will only accept moving them if they are replanted somewhere else. This may sound bonkers but is there such a place which rehomes conifers? Also can conifers be removed anyway? Help!

I had some conifers in my back garden that got very large and overwhelming. They got to about 6ft tall and I would never have been able to lift them and move them to another place. My husband cut them down, although it was sad to see them go it made such a difference in the garden, making it so much lighter. We did make use of them, we used them in the woodburner so they didnt go to waste. I don't think you will be able to move them, you may have to invest in a chainsaw or get someone to take them down, Sorry.
Thanks very much for the advice, I suspected as much but had to check
