winter preperation - help !
I have a Passion flower growing all over trellis, grown from a long wooden trough on a small roof terrace . This is my first winter growing plants and I really don't want to lose it due to frost etc Can people please advise me on what is best for it ? Do I wrap just the wooden trough in fleece or should I be trying to cover the leaves also , I have no idea ! Many thanks

As you are in London you will be about 2 degrees above the average temperature.
Just give it a good mulch 2-3" will be enough, you can trim it back as well and unless it gets severely cold it should be ok.
We had a passionflower growing n our front garden for years - going past there some 15 years later it still survives although we've had some pretty hard winters. As yours is in a pot I'd wrap the pot with several layers of bubblewrap - but leave the soil and plant itself uncovered so that it doesn't get damp and cause rot. Mulching is a good idea.
Even if the top is cut back by severe frosts, it's more than likely to recover well

I have a passionflower growing in a bottom-less pot. I thought last winter had killed it off but it has romped away all summer. I think it depends on the variety - some are more tender than others. Mine is the common one. It looked quite dead at the beginning of the year but soon began to develop shoots once it warmed up. I didn't give it any protection but it is a couple of years old now. As Dove suggests probably a good idea to mulch the roots and maybe protect the pot if it is a new-ish plant. Don't be alarmed if it looks totally lifeless, probably just sleeping!
