What can you do with these? my (potted) tree is laden with fruit---- all it needed were a couple more weeks of sun,,,,

    Mine was exactly the same - I trawled the net for ideas and asked Foodie Friends  - the consensus was that if they are hard and you cut them open and they ooze a lot of milky sap then there's nothing to be done - sadly mine went on the compost heap.  image

    If anyone knows different please let me know for next time ....

    They can sometimes survive the Winter and ripen next year giving an early crop, so try leaving them on - if they get too frosted they'll fall off by themselves.

    A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

    Thanks both -- I read somewhere that you can make a chutny but I must say it didn't sound all too tasty...  Will try leaving some on and see what happens. Will report back!
