hi there i want to re design my garden and this means moving some tree ferns which are in the border could anyone tell me what time of year would be best to do this any advise would be gratefully received many thanks colin.

I can't say for sure but I would probably leave it till early spring .... Or pot them up over winter to protect them and then replant in the spring is probably the road I would go down.... But I have killed 3 if them in the past
I'm sure if I got one it would die and then I'd be guilty of murder. We don't have the climate for it in this area. (East Anglia)
