Hardy Winter Flowers for hanging baskets

MWrightMWright Posts: 3

Hi all, we've had years of failing hanging baskets due to strong winds, but this year we had a wonderful display of Begonia Semperflorens that just shrugged off the winds and gave months of blooms.

They've stopped flowering now and it would be great to find something that will continue over the winter months until we can replant Begonias next year.  Any ideas gratefully received.  As well as windy, the location is also semi-shade.

Thanks in advance.

I love violas. Even if they don't produce masses of flowers in mid winter they really get going and provide masses of colour in spring until you plant summer bedding. They are OK with semi-shade too. Here are some of mine in early

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll certainly consider those.
