Cherry tree pruning

Hi 

got a big cherry tree in the garden , need some advice on when best to prune it?

it still has a lot of leaves on it should I wait till they have all dropped.

This should be pruned in the summer or it might get infected with 'silver leaf'

thanks , I guess it won't hurt if I do it now ,although a bit late the weather is still warm and only a few leaves have dropped.
