Weed (perhaps)?
I have posted this in 'plants' but might be one for 'problem solving' once i know the answer.
Can anyone help identify this? I perhpas should have take the picture when it was looking heathier earlier in the year but this plant is growing in two or three locations in my garden.
It is mostly growing in amongst other plants, Zebra Grass and Spiraea to name two.
I have a couple of other pictures if this one doesn't help.

Could be wrong, but it looks a bit like an aquiligia to me, very pretty flowers but does seed itself around.
I agree with SwissSue - aquilegia - as she says they do self seed a bit but gorgeous plants - I visited the collection at http://www.touchwoodplants.co.uk/aquilegias.htm
earlier this year. Wonderful.
Aquilegias cross-pollinate with each other and produce all sorts of different flowers - I've found some beauties that have popped up in my garden, all done without any interference by me.
You might have been confused into thinking they're weeds as they're perennial so they don't produce flowers until their second year.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
That's good to know Dove. I collected some seed from a local park this summer and now I know it'll be a longer wait to see which bag is which colour flowers!
Thanks folks. A bit of uncertainty remains as its the second year with no flowers (didn't live here before that so don't know how long it's been there.
Perhaps next year I will treat it better and not rip clumps out why hand and see what happens.
