I have this plant growing in my garden but have no idea what it is. Can anyone help me identify it please?
that looks like one of those bromelliads, might have spelt that incorrectly. You need to get that out of the garden and protected for winter
I agrre. Some sort of tender bromeliad. Bring it into the warm for winter.
Found this good link apparently hardy to -10 but haven't seen it get through a winter
Thank you very much for your helpful responses.
It has actually managed to survive 4 winters but this is the first year it has actaully flowered. As such, I am not sure if I should take it inside or cover it up for the winter. Suggestions very welcome.
It is Fascicularia bicolor, hardy in well draining soil. If it has survived 4 winters so far than I would leave it totally alone as it seems happy where it is TBH.
