Rose - Two tone green leaves

Good morning.

Can anyone identify the reason for the two tone colour on my golden showers rose? It has had the best display of rose this year and the leaves have just started showing these two tone green over the past few weeks. I fertilised earlier in the year with a rose feed and only water if really dry at ground level. It is mulched well with my own compost.

    Have any of them been overlapping and blocking sunlight from parts of the leaves underneath?

    Whatever it is, if the rose has been doing well over the summer it doesn't sound as if it is going to cause it too much harm.

    Wait and see if it happens again next spring?

    My roses have started yellowing a couple of days ago and I think that's what is happening here too. The plant is retrieving nutrients so it can shed the leaves before winter is coming.
