Fungi - Toadstools - Potatoes
I've grown Charlotte potatoes in large plastic tubs using one third manure and two thirds branded multi-purpose compost of fifty/fifty peat split with forest sourced material - wood fibre (certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council). During the spud growing process toadstools flourish and withered before I could identify them. Does anyone know whether the potato crop is safe to eat having shared a growing environment with toadstool mycelia? Thank you. Michael J.
