Talkback: Autumn harvests

This has been the first time I have grown marrows and they have grown so well, I only put two plants in. We have eaten some of them and with one I have made marrow and ginger jam. Never done that before either but it is delicious. I have got a bumper crop of tomatoes too so I am going to have a go at making tomato chutney.

You can put grated courgettes into cakes and they are nice and moist, you could probably do it with marrows too. I add grated courgette, chopped apple, ginger, lemon zest, cinnamon and sultanas to a basic cake mix.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
