Tomato plant is this late blight ?

This is the only tomato plant that I left to grow as a bush and didn't take the suckers off , It looks like it go infected (with late blight?).

Shall I remove the tomatoes now and let them ripen ?
It seems that it's starting to go all the way up to the vine .. I guess there is no salvation for the plant so shall I pull it up as well ?

Yes it is blight. When you have removed the tomatoes, burn the plant so that you don't spread the infection.

  • Possibly the fact that the plant is a bit congested might have increased the probability of Late Blight - take the fruit off quickly - the paler ones will ripen in a warm place - any dark ones are for chutney I'm afraid.  And as Welshonion says, destroy the plant.

In my experience with LB it's likely that the toms, though looking healthy, could already be infected. Take them off the plant anyway but don't be suprised if they succumb.
