Dicentra Care

I was given a number of Dicentra/ Bleeding Heart plants and I have been their worst enemy as the leaves vaguely look like Creeping Buttercup I always end up removing most of the growth in spring. This year I avoided doing that (), so have a reasonable plant that actually flowered for once.
What do I do now - leave it to die back or cut it down? As the Dicentra came from a relative I want to look after it better than I have.

It depends how bad they look. Have all the leaves started turning yellow?
Hi Matt - leaves are still green.
I cut the leaves of mine when they have turned yellow and then give it a mulch. I don't do anything special and it always pops up again
Dicentras naturally die back over the summer, having flowered in spring.
I just leave mine alone, but it is adviseable to make sure that you have a marker in place so that later in the year you dont 'spike' through it with a fork/spade.

Ok thank you.
