    Hey Adam, I was just reading your post and I thought I would offer you some advice. :) I know one of the best ways to help prevent blackspot is to supplement your soil, and I found a really good website with organic and conventional soil supplements, so you don't have to use the crappy chemical stuff if you don't want to. Check it out, it's www.kelp4less.com. They also have pretty great prices, and I found one blog that recommended using alfalfa meal, bone meal, blood meal, and rock phosphate - they have all of these available - hope this helps!!!

    connie 77 i'm a total novice but i've just cut off any brown leaves and all seems well
