Problem with Leeks
This is a problem that my Mum is experiencing.
She has grown leeks for about 40 years, each year they are grown in a different position in the vegetable garden.
The plants grow to about 6 inches ,and look really green and healthy.Suddenly within a couple of days the tops wilt, and die right down.If you pull one up the bottom has just rotted. The soil is well drained, and this has happened last year and last week, onion sets a couple of rows away are fine.
Any ideas please,so she can try to avoid this next year.
