Alpines in winter

Hi all
I developed an alpine garden this year, formed with containers of all shapes and sizes.
Would it be beneficial to move the containers to a cold greenhouse for the winter or leave where they are?
Any advise greatly appreciated.

If they are anything like the weight of mine then moving them would be well nigh impossible.
Unless the containers are likely to be damaged by frost, or the plants in them are tender, then they do not normally need protection.
In a couple of mine which have specialist plants which do not like winter rain on them, I cover with a sheet of glass but that is all.

Thanks for the advice, I asked the question as Monty Dom said on GW, that alpines don't suffer winter rain to well.
My containers are just movable so was thinking about the move, I think I'll wait and see what the weather brings us this winter.
Again, it depends on the alpines. Many of the ones sold are not really 'alpine' at all. Many of them are dwarf lowland plants. Or they come from lower slope alpine meadow environments. They are used to a certain amount of winter wet, especially if they go dormant.
As you say, just keep an eye on them.
