Saffron seeds?

What is the difference between saffron bulbs and saffron seeds? Do I still get the same result?

Saffron bulbs will flower and the stamens are harvested for the saffron filaments used as a spice.

Saffron seeds will have to grow into plants, die down as bulbs, regrow, flower etc as above.  You do not use either the bulbs or the seeds as a spice/flavouring, only the stamens of the flower.
