Sounds like fire light. Always dip secateurs or loppers in a dilute solution of Jeyes fluid between each cut. Cut out all infected areas back to healthy shoot.
Thanks for your advice. Have only had it a week and not touched it yet. Company think it might be in shock! So giving it a couple of weeks to settle in. Don't think fire blight as not on trunk and couldn't cut it out as its affected every leaf.

If it is fireblight and there are any pear trees in your garden or in the vicinity, get rid of the whole plant fast, as it will spread to them!
