they keep coming back in my aunts garden i have used weedol but all that does is seems to feed them. did as it said on the back nothing tried double and triple strengh but nothing. they are in coming through the crazy paving just out of ideas without taking teh paving up and having a massive BBQ to burn the roots. any ideas as i know some stuff that worked is now banned for the general gardener

hi kev van - what species of weed are they? Mares tail for instance has to be crushed a bit before spraying as they have a waxy leaf structure & the weedkiller just runs off. good luck!
and which weedol product did you use.
Are you getting more and more annual weeds germinatiing or regrowth of perennials.

If you mix weedkiller stronger than it says on the pack you are just wasting money. Triple strength does not mean Triple Kill.
Would you do the same if you were prescribed medication?

welsh onion is right. If you use it too strong the top goes down too quickly for full absorption. And the species does make a difference, and the time of year and the stage of growth. There is no instant magic answer.

nututlet im not after instatnt results but after 3-4 weeks i should be seeing some sort of dead stuff.
Glyphosate can take ages to show any results - Roundup gel is the perfect example - can take weeks for weeds to die. I use Resolva 24h, works quickly, other option is a strong salt solution when we have a few dry days guaranteed - cheaper as well.
