Hello, I am an enthusiastic but rank amateur gardener, I am currently using 3 large tub/barrels for composting, and I was told recently that Ullage - Stale beer - is an excellent accelorator for compost, however I have also read that this may not be the case.

So I have joined this site to ask you knowledgeable gardeners out there for advice and guidance on this matter.

    The beer needs to pass through you to make the best accelerator

    My beer never gets to the stage that is stale always drank at BBQ's

    Can you imagine asking your guests at a BBQ to pee in a bucket so I could use on my compost heap LOL
