When are !st and 2nd early potatoes available to buy, i,m new at this.

    Late winter/early spring. When you buy them leave them to grow shoots before planting, called chitting. Egg boxes are good to put them in while chitting. Put them in a light cool place.
    Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

    I usually see them in the garden centres after they remove the sales items after the New Year. P.S I was going to suggest looking at Wilkos website but of course they are no more I wonder if the Range will stock wilko gardening stuff.
