Kiwi jenny (self fertile)

Got this kiwi plant as a gift around spring time had loads of growth seems to be doing well just want to know if anyone's actually had any luck with it as I've heard typically you need both a male and female plant to produce any fruit. Its supposedly self fertile but would just like to hear people's opinions if it's worth keeping the the few years that it will need to grow before it will fruit.

We had one that took over 15 years to even produce flowers but no fruit. We then had  male and female plants and this year after 6 years we have fruit....but hard as nails. However at least we know it can fruit and hopefully next year we will have some that we can eat!

I have a kiwi jenny which has flowered for the last 2 years, after being planted 5 or 6 years ago. No fruits yet.

And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)
