Rose recommendation

BusylizBusyliz Posts: 144
Hello gardeners. My sister's birthday is coming up and I want to get her a shrub rose, fragranced, preferably pink. Her name is Josephine, or Josie for short.  Recommendations would be most welcome as it's a minefield out there! Thanks in advance.

Does it have to have a relevant name? I think it would be better to narrow down the choice according to how much space there is for it (large space at the back of a border, smaller space front of border, container etc) and the conditions (climate, aspect etc) as well as colour.
Modern shrub roses, sometimes called English roses, often repeat-flower whereas the older ones tend to have a single flush (but many then have colourful hips if you don't deadhead).
Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
