    It’s a Chaenomeles (Latin name) or Japanese quince (common name).

    They come in different colours. Very nice.

    They also have edible fruit .. it’s not good to eat raw … they’re very hard … but you can use them as quinces to make jelly and to add to game casseroles etc. 😋

  • My neighbour gave me some fruit from her chaenomeles to make jelly but I found it tasteless.
  • I will just be glad if it survives!
