i'm having trouble with my boiler at the moment, and the temperature in the room where the Hoya is can get down to 14℃ at night. is this something i need to be concerned about, please?
That temperature is fine for a while as long as you don't overwater and keep away from cold windows. It will just slow any new growth until the temps pick up again.
Yes, it'll be fine. They like it warm in the day and cooler at night, ideally no lower than around 10C but they'll survive down to around 5c if it's not for a long time. Just hold back on the watering a little if you're watering it at this time of year.
