Help - something killing my laurel
We have a mature laurel hedge that has suddenly started to die at the first tree. The hedge is about 10m long, 2m deep and 3m high.
I noticed a few leaves starting to brown earlier this year and then it spread.
with most of the leaf cover gone on one side I noticed fungus on the trunk. A couple of weeks ago I applied Tricho Protect to the leaves and ground.
a picture attached of the fungus.
the branch ends are dead from what I can see. Looking at the rest of the trees I can see some shot holed leaves. Otherwise it’s a healthy hedge.
looking for advice on what the issue could be. I have nematodes for vine weevils but haven’t used them yet.
I’m a bit clueless when it comes to gardening so advice welcomed
