Quickie re chrysanths

A Friend is wondering what to do with her chrysanthemum. I don’t grow them & haven’t a clue so thought I’d ask on here!. it’s in a pot on her patio it’s not flowering any more & looks a bit bedraggled should she cut it back and if so how much? She’s had it about a year. Google says cut back December?

    If its finished flowering, she can cut it down to a couple of inches. New shoots should come from the base in Spring.
