OH had similar,  seems Outlook, in their infinite wisdom taken it upon themselves to mark stuff as spam and not let it through,  had to go into outlook, and find all the deleted stuff and reinstate.
Not sure if the ordinary user can do it,  may need to ask a teenager😀

I've now found them in my deleted folder but why are they going in there and how do I get them to go into my inbox

Can you not drag and drop them back into the inbox?

I don't know - but Googling it comes up with:
'...Why is my email going directly to the deleted items folder in Outlook? When you are utilizing the Ignore feature in Outlook, messages are automatically moved to the Deleted Items folder. This problem occurs when you select Ignore on an email message and then a later message from that thread comes into your mailbox....'

I don't use Microsoft/Outlook/Hotmail - so I can only guess that there's an ignore (presumably based on Email sender) option.

Thanks for your help steveTu but that's to technical for me I'll keep searching and try asking someone younger than me
  • If you've deleted a few messages from one sender without opening and reading them, Outlook will presume you don't want them, and send new ones from them straight to Junk.

What you need to do is to find them in Junk, click on them individually ... along the top you should have the option to 'Move to' ... select Inbox and it will go to your Inbox ... it may also give you the Option of Not Junk or Always send messages from Dove to Inbox .  If you click on one of those the emails from that person should always go to Inbox rather than Junk.

    Hope that helps.  :)
