Rose Pruning

It's December and some of my roses are still in flower - both climbing and shrub roses.
Should I be removing said flowers so that they can settle down for winter? I would normally have done an initial prune by now.

If you prune them now,  and it stays mild, they are likely to produce new shoots that will  be vulnerable to bad weather.  They will stop by January or when the snow hits.

@Dave2510 climbing roses can be pruned between December and February.  Shrub Roses should be pruned February-March.

Remember to insert the pineapple stem first, and ramming is preferred.
