Deliberately Bent?

I found this left in the shed of the allotment I've just taken over. I've never seen one of these with a bendy handle, the label is worn but I can just make out the word Wilkinson. Anyone else seen one like it or has someone done a Uri Geller on it?

    I've never seen one like that but it does look deliberate - maybe a tall person bent it so they can rake while standing straighter? If you imagine a line where a straight handle would be, it's several inches lower for the same angle of the rake. Try it and see how it works for you?

    It is an ergonomic leaf rake.  https://www.ebay.com/itm/184611921634  For something similar.  I've seen the same handle on snow shovels in the US, as well as leaf rakes like that one.

    Thanks for the info. I know the previous allotment holder was an older gentleman so maybe it made things comfortable for him. I just love the shape! I think I'll give it a bit of a spruce up and name it 'Colin'.
