Made the most of the pizza oven while watching the neighbours fireworks. Calzone followed by my amazing (yes I am a big head) chocolat, marshmallow, raspberry and walnut pudding pizza
@pansyface out neighbours who seemingly despise everyone in the village have a huge bonfire every year and a firework display that must cost into the thousands (I kid you not 2 pallets of professional fireworks were delivered yesterday). The street is lined with cars as it's become a well know annual event.
The savory pizza was mushroom, charred fennel, roasted pepper, tomato sauce and mozzarella with very garlicky butter brushed all over. All home grown stuff it was fab
Morning Wilderbeast, I don't normally make such comments, unlike some who when asked to give suggestions for, say, hanging baskets, will say they loath them. I hope you also wished Mike good morning,as he went one further, and said it will likely cause loss of limbs😂. I have tried them,of course, I make them for the grandkids, then hubby will eat one slice. I cannot get my head round folk eating a whole one, neither can he. I just find them 'heavy" ,mind you I cannot eat much"bread" of any sort.
Hope you enjoyed your treat[s]. I'm quite sure you don't eat like that on a regular basis, and your regular workouts with your job and your composting will keep you fit. Nothing wrong with the odd indulgence
The pizza sounds great, and definitely an even better treat when it's all home grown.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Your toppings sound very tasty @Wilderbeast . I like a pizza about once a year and it has to be thin crust and veggie toppings apart from a bit of anchovy. Can't be doing with doughy ones or loads of meat and cheese.

Nope, not cooking in the garden - it’s piddling with rain. And no fireworks to be seen or heard. Maybe the weather, maybe the expense. 😕
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

Apparently everyone loves them and eats a whole one, plus "sides".
