  • Good afternoon,  we had several bouts of torrential rain with high winds yesterday evening and night.  Still wet this morning, but has dried now. Still lots of leaves on trees here, though the potted Acers have shed theirs.  My Allotment Dahlias are still in full flower so they are staying put for now.
I  asked at end of last month,  do I  cut down the Cannas even though the tops are still a bit green?  They are in big pots I have put them in the greenhouse  already.

Feeling slightly queazy after reading dry socket comments.
Still can't get into my emails. The nearest I've managed is to see I have 57 of them to read, but can't access them. ggrrr
    Weather still divine.

Hi @Ergates . Dentist suggested clot had started to form, but had been dislodged, although I wasn’t really listening, as was in a lot of pain after her prodding.

Poor Punkdoc. Hope this new blood clot stays in place until it consolidates. Did you get the lecture on not smoking after the extraction? Significantly higher chance of getting a dry socket if you indulge too soon.
Hostafan, do you need to check your emails while you are away, or can you safely ignore them till you get home? Concentrate on soaking up that sun and heat, it’s been bucketing down here in Devon.
Very pleased with myself that between the rain showers, I managed to incinerate a big pile of ‘sensitive’ paperwork, receipts and the like. Not so pleased when I realised I had disposed of a receipt for a digital kitchen scale I bought last week. OK, it only cost £8, but it had a 15 year guarantee!

So very sorry to read about your tooth @punkdoc very painful. Hope things become a bit more normal very soon as recovery progresses.
@Busy-Lizzie we live very high up on a sort of land peak in this forest, it is always breezy but when the general area has gale force winds forecast then watch out!
Glad to hear that you are having an enjoyable holiday Hosta. Stay safe and dry everyone, this rough weather is going to be around for a few days yet I understand.

I did @Ergates, but it is not working!!
have to admit, the pain tonight is terrible, gin has been consumed.

I've never smoked in my life, and I followed the post op directions to the letter, but my last dry socket, after a very complicated maxfax extraction, was 18th December, one year, local hospital doesn't 'do' dental,it was Christmas Eve by the time it got really bad,and there wasn't even an emergency dentist open anywhere. Then we had New year,I ended up with 4 weeks of agony. I had left a message at the hospital, but the dept was closed, I returned to the clinic, dentist said she couldn't pack because of the sutures. Just gave me antibiotics and told me not to take too many painkillers,I was talking the max dose of paracetamol and ibuprofen. Thankfully then the secretary picked up my message, rang asked if I still had problems...oh yes, then saw the original  surgeon. Have you had one Ergates? My old ward sister ended up on morphine . Apologies for making you queasy Hosta ❤️

    morning all.
Logging in at 7am local time is the only way to get decent internet.
@Ergates I had to re order medication so it's there when I get home. Everything else I can ignore.
    Beautiful day again.
@punkdoc, ggrrr. For once in your life, can't you just do what's good for you. ggrrrr

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
    Glad you’re enjoying yourself @Hostafan1   😎
A clear bright morning here in Norfolk. Heading to the farm shop and butcher this morning … OH is coming with me so he can choose his own type of Rocky Road 😆
