Mild here, but wet, wet and more wet! Luckily, we have managed to get out and home before the rain started again. No thunder today, but we had a noisy storm right overhead yesterday. Very windy outside now, and it’s bucketing down. No chance of clearing the leaves off the grass for a few days, but hopefully most of the leaves will be down by the time I get out there. Hope everyone tucked up nice and warm tonight, and the aches and pains are settling down.
That's good @AuntyRach, we're having our flu jabs on Saturday.
We got the buddleia chopped down, just got to get the stump out now, probably on Friday as the weather forecast is still wet and windy tomorrow I believe.
You'll no doubt be thankful for that log pile @Busy-Lizzie in a month or so's time.
Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Slept like a log. Hmm not sure about it being ‘severe’ weather … but you'd certainly need wellingtons to walk the dog … I pity our bin men this morning … they’ll need all their wet weather gear. Tomorrow looks brighter tho … 😊

Looks ok out there at the moment, I am doing what I call a 'Winston Churchill', aka working from my bed. No delivery today because of the BH on Tuesday, so taking advantage of not having to be up and presentable early.
Charlie and I went to a Boxercise class last night, he loved it, I appreciate the fitness element of it, but find the co-ordination of legs and arms a bit tricky, plus when to jab/cross/uppercut in the right order, all in French too so I lose a couple of seconds in translation, not words I've come across in the main. A lot of repetition so hopefully I'll get better with time. Certainly uses different muscles than the norm, feeling it this morning.
Lots of baking to do today, I am going to a concert in Paris next week, and by chance there is a catering exhibition on too, so I can kill two birds with one stone... but I need to get a lot of cakes in the freezer beforehand. Rag 'n' Bone Man, really looking forward to it.
So, good day to all, catch up later, Autumn Spice Cake 1st on my list today. Shall I save a slice for anyone, comforting in all that wet weather?

Pretty “severe” weather here. You are lucky you missed it Dove ☔️. Roads closed, cars trapped under railway bridges. Fun fun fun ☹️
Rain is due to stop here later. Hopefully will find time to return my pelargoniums to the greenhouse (whitefly has been really bad this year, so thought a spell in the elements might help. Have seen comments from others here and on other SM, so know I’m not the only one - presumably the flying pests liked the long, hot summer).
Might leave my tulip bulbs til next week, once it has got a bit colder.
Glad to hear your flu jab was uneventful @AuntyRach. Got mine tomorrow and was hoping not to have to write off the weekend.

We went to the SM, fridge is now full of goodies. Sea Bass tonight.
I did some weeding this afternoon, more to do.
It was a lovely day today. We had lunch on the terrace but rain is forecast for tomorrow. Glad you have a blue sky @Hostafan1. Have you been swimming?

We have rain forecast for our bit of Dordogne this afternoon.
No plans, but HW needs to be done. I'd cleaned before we left but spiders have been squatting and old stone walls shed dust.
