Good Morning. Sky cloudy this morning, but no rain is expected until tomorrow. I am glad to hear good news from @chicky and @Busy-Lizzie
Wish you all a lovely day. Take care.

  • Good morning all 😊 ☕️
A bright clear morning here in Norfolk … blue sky and very still … but the forecast says it’ll be windy this afternoon.
What a tiring journey @Busy-Lizzie … glad you’re both home and able to relax now. ☕️ 🥐

    Hi all
Much colder today, slight overnight frost.

  • Morning all,
A misty start here but brightening up nicely now.

Glad to hear everyone is on the mend and despite a stressful trip you're safely back home @Busy-Lizzie.

I really am trying to find time this week to get my bulbs in, but the summer bedding is still thriving and it seems a shame to dig it up.

We had a staff party on Monday evening, we all went for a meal at a local restaurant, as it was Halloween they went with haunted house theme and we all had to sit in the dark, all good fun and they even arranged for some friendly ghosts 'spook' us all.
We didn't manage to have a Christmas Party last year so I am not sure whether this was a late Christmas party or an early one, we all had a great time anyway.

Back to work now and really trying to get organised with Christmas Cakes and Puddings, all coming around a bit too fast.

Good day to all , continued recovery for all those ailing. :)

    Morning all.

12° outside now, should reach 18 this afternoon. No sign of deer in the garden.

We must go to the SM and some weeding needs doing.

    Good morning!

Sunny and a bit overcast here but warm 16°C.  I think I'd better fleece the lemon tree.  We can get a surprise frost around this time - and it's laden.

Highlight of the day will be a trip to the tip, I think.  Perhaps go and visit a friend for tea this afternoon.

Home is the best place, isn't it @Busy-Lizzie ?  You're obviously all right for wood.  It's still mild during the day, but I imagine the house would have been cold.

@floralies   Those pesky butterflies and snails!  It's a constant battle!!  My brassicas are netted but they still get in!

@Chicky good that you had a successful outing and OH is coping.  Oh those stretchy stockings!  I was always worried that when getting them put on, my hip would pop out!!  It didn't!!

@D0rdogne_Damsel  Nice photo.  I hope you all had a good time.  Good boss/staff relations!!

We are expecting rain tomorrow too @coccinella  - maybe the same cloud!

Have a pleasant day.  I hope you are feeling better @punkdoc
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • Good morning everyone,  dry and bright start here too.  Hope it lasts   we had a huge storm yesterday evening here, massive thunderclaps  and "Holywood rain" ( the sort you see on film courtesy of fire hoses)
A huge tree came down on the main A41 just as well we weren't trying to go anywhere.
Glad your journey worked out in the end @Busy-Lizzie, we found our return journey was still a bit stressful even though it all went well all  because the outbound trip  was such a nightmare.  Still haven't got our compensation from Eurostar.
    Best wishes to all.

Morning all, just having a quick read whilst I'm drinking coffee. Had my usual walk and it was distinctly a little bit chilly. Have decided to take out (if possible) my Buddelia 'Lochinch' as I have developed a strong allergy to it. I'll wear a mask, use the long handled pruner and get OH to help. I'm hoping the wet leaves will trap whatever is causing the breathing difficulty.
Better get on, looks like it might rain again fairly soon and torrential rain is forecast for this afternoon.

Glad you arrived safe and sound after your stressful journey @Busy-Lizzie.  Dratted deer!  But I'm sure you will get everything sorted soon.
I too was impressed with your OH getting his socks on @chicky.  Thinking I need one of them there gizmos.  It's not the bending so much as my innards getting squeezed in the effort.
    Great pic @D0rdogne_Damsel!
Speaking of compensation @Allotment Boy - we were unable to board a flight back to the Norwich from Schiphol with the rest of the family as it was overbooked.  They put us up in a hotel overnight and we caught a flight the next day (all very stressful) but we were given vouchers to claim back the cost of the flights.  It took months of chasing before KLM finally gave us the compensation.  Keep trying!

Lovely and sunny here at the moment but the wind kept me awake last night.  Our milkman comes at about 1am and he always leaves the gate open, so that was banging too.  (First world problems!).

    Evening all.
Dodgy internet takes forever to load on laptop, and GW isn't on phone.
Just grabbing the chance to say hi.
