Plant identification again please

Hi Everyone, another unknown plant, this one was a shrub that I saw in Southern Spain last week.  Lovely flowers but would anyone know its name and if it could survive in the SE UK please?

I think it is a Lantana.

Lantana. But it won't survive our cold winters outside. We've had one going for years in a pot.

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful

They are lovely aren't they? I have some in pots, which I keep in a frost free lean-to when the weather gets chilly. I've seen them for sale with other summer bedding plants in quite a few places this year.

I saw some growing in a greenhouse at Harlow Carr, about this time last year. The RHS website says hardiness H1c: can be grown outside in the summer (5 - 10C), so you'd probably need to bring it inside for the winter (a conservatory would probably be fine if you have one).

Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
  • Mine's in my back porch/mini conservatory now, flowering away. It loved summer outside last year and the flowers went from yellow, through orange to red. It wasn't so happy with the heat and drought this year though and seems to have got out of sync with the season!

  • Thank you everyone I might give it a try.  I was able to keep a large Bougainvillea this year and took cuttings that have taken well.  We will see!  Thanks again
