I'm adding some strawberry plants to this raised bed. The bed has old compost in thats been in there for ages, can a add and mix some Gro-Sure Peat Free Farmyard Manure then plant now. I know people say fresh manure can burn plants but will that be the same with this product.

The bed

The manure

  • Never used the product myself but I imagine the manure content is not fresh enough to cause a problem.
You could get away with fresh manure if you left the bed over winter.  If you need to plant now, use that product or just  some BFB

@Voyagerxp, yes, that will be fine to use as it will be well rotted stuff. I use that myself.
