I was at Wild Ken in July. I'm looking forward to seeing an update. Such a stunning and diverse location - farmland, woodland, marsh, sea shore. Turtle doves, beavers, silver washed fritillary.
It’s great news. I personally think having loads of researchers and phd students frequenting the rewilding projects looking is key. How wonderful to have expert mycologists, lepidopterists, etc regularly examining the sites! They are super interested, skilled, motivated and will know what they are spotting or how to find out.
Great Dixter hosted some spider conferences so years ago. The experts asked if they could wander about. Fergus said fine. In their wandering they found spiders not recorded in Sussex before.
great to have massive biodiversity and great to have the experts on hand to record it.
