Cock-a-hoop!

Not generally a boastful person, but I've been taking stock this weekend of my first year of gardening, and just really want to share my delight with people who get it 😉
Starting from scratch, I've had success or partial success with 13 different edibles (including aubergines, if you please!), over 50 flowers, shrubs and grasses and only 4 conspicuous fails!
Aware that I'm standing on the shoulders of giants here, particularly all you fabulous Forumeers, my lovely OH and, of course, Nature herself, but I might take a wee bit of credit myself ☺️
Can't wait for next year! Cheers 🥂

well done  :) The pleasure of eating veg that you grow yourself is really hard to explain to someone who hasn't done it. It's not really rational, much of the time. Although in some cases they do just taste better.

Lovely sweet peas - are those creamy purple ones 'High Scent'?

  • @raisingirl, 'More Scent' which absolutely live up to the name. The others are Matucana, almost as delicious. Collected about half a billion pods, which I'm happy to share, btw!

Think it's safe to say you've well and truly got the gardening bug @Heartinthedirt.

Well done in what has been a very tricky year for many gardeners .... and good luck for next year.
