Poo identification please

Hi everyone,

I have recently discovered some droppings in our garden and wondered if anyone knew what kind of animal it would be from?

Added the peg for size reference.

Hello @Naturelover85  and welcome to the forum 😊

Those are bird droppings of some sort. The white coating is urea and typical of birds as they do not urinate separately.

if you’re in the UK they’re possibly blackbird from the size? But watch and see what birds you have around.

  • Hey Dove,

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I’m from Cambridgeshire so I bet you are right. I do get a few blackbirds in the garden.

We get a lot of wildlife like foxes, hedgehogs, mice etc around here so wasn’t entirely sure what it could be.
