Dismiss bookmark

I am trying to dismiss a bookmark by tapping the cog in the RH corner but the bookmark remains.  How to get rid of it?

    Click on ' my bookmarks' in green box on right hand side of page, then click on the 'star'  on the right of the bookmark you want to dismiss and it should change from a solid star to an outline of one.
