Preformed pond liners

They all look pretty cheap. Are they all the same quality of do you get what you paid for?
I'm totally clueless so any basic advice would be appreciated.

Just compare the price of makes and get the best you can afford I reckon. My dad's had one free standing for about 20+ years, I don't know what make it is, but he would have got it from the aquatics shop.

I've had one since 2016.
I think glass fibre ponds are one of the best for quality.

We bought one then abandoned it,  just couldn’t  dig the hole exactly like the base of the pond,  too much hassle.  

The liner is much more forgiving,  just dig where you want and lay the pre liner then the top,  ours has a lifetime guarantee and worked out very reasonably prices.
you can put your shelf levels where you want,  make a slightly sloping beach one end for anything that may want a drink without falling in. 

It’s pretty wild now but then that’s what we wanted.

That sounds like a better idea. Would it work as well for something smaller?

Yes. It's for the miscanthus hole. @AnniD 😊 Haven't measured it but I think with a little enlargement it'll be big enough. I have cobbles that I could use too . I'm feeling quite enthusiastic about it

Went down for a look. Including the bare soil under where the leaves were, there's about 4ft plus another two if needed . The width is about 3ft but with a bit less leeway for expansion.

faces almost direct east . Not overshadowed so plenty of sun. That's good news @Lyn
