Amazing Night Sky

Not gardening as such but something to view from the garden.

What an awesome view tonight after the clouds & rain finally cleared. Looking through binoculars, just to the right of the incredibly bright moon, Jupiter is there in all its glory complete with four of its moons. It's brighter than any of the stars so can't be missed. And a bit further to the right is Saturn with its rings and moons clearly visible.

Viewing through binoculars is ok, if you can hold them still enough, but the view through a birding telescope on a tripod is even better. Wicked  :)

I was out last night and the moon and planets were very bright, even in London.

When I woke a little while ago I thought it was later than it was as it's very bright out there. Lovely moon and clear stars.

Amazing autumnal full moon this week!!
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

  • Yes I saw it a couple of nights ago … huge and golden …

I always love seeing a full moon, it still fascinates and delights. This week’s The Sky At Night is a special on photography, from domestic pictures to today’s advanced technology in astrophotography.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Wow well done
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
