Found these in a pot.

  • Vine weevil grubs.

  • Bird food.
  • They are huge.  Definitely not Vine Weevil.  I’ll leave on the bird table 
  • If "huge" means 15-20mm in length (?) -- I think I can see some legs towards teh head end -- chafer grubs?
    Kindness is always the right choice.

    They look far too dark to be vine weevil. 
    Leatherjackets - at an early stage?
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Look more like chafer larvae to me. Pub grub for your garden birds.
  • Having zoomed I agree ... I can see legs ... not vine weevils ... one of the chafers
