They are huge. Definitely not Vine Weevil. I’ll leave on the bird table

If "huge" means 15-20mm in length (?) -- I think I can see some legs towards teh head end -- chafer grubs?

They look far too dark to be vine weevil.
Leatherjackets - at an early stage?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Look more like chafer larvae to me. Pub grub for your garden birds.

Having zoomed I agree ... I can see legs ... not vine weevils ... one of the chafers
