Ox heart tomato normal?

Hi all. Question please. Is this normal as I have a few with holes in exactly the same place at the bottom. No rot or wriggling beasties. Some have no holes at all. Is it safe to eat? Thank you

  • Perfectly safe to eat ... some of the heirloom varieties have their idiosyncracies and pollination/weather and other factors can affect the way the fruit forms. The fruit may even have started to split and then healed   :)

El bandito says Buenas dias. 🙂
Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

    Too cute to eat 😁
  • It's sometimes known as "cat-facing" and happens to some of the larger heirloom types. :)
