Greengage problem?

We planted a greengage tree about four weeks ago. It has recently started to show growth from just above the rootstock. Is this normal? If not, what should I do about it?

Remove all growth which is low-down on the tree.  Look for the graft point and be especially sure to remove anything which comes from below, otherwise it will take over.
