For what it's worth, due to my "usual" chilli seeds being chucked out in a fit of intensive tidying in late February ( doesn't happen often), I sowed random supermarket "red chillies" seeds in early March. I'm guessing they are serrano or jalapeno or some similar shape. Anyhow , due to shortage of space , I basically have 3 plants in a 6/7 litre pot, they started flowering a couple of weeks ago ( albeit tiny buds had been present for a while before that) , and are now forming small chillies. Unless your plants are in a heated greenhouse though, if they haven't shown signs of flowering yet , then they will need to be indoors to make it to the fruiting stage in the UK, but I expect you are already aware of that.

Chillies need quite a long growing period before they’re ready to fruit. When did you sow them?
