Growing organic potato

Just a quick question.. can I grow potatoes from supermarket organic potato

Potatoes will grow from any old potato or even from the 'eyes' you cut out when peeling, as long as they land up somewhere suitable, even the compost heap. The results may be variable and it is up to you to decide whether the harvest you get from a non-organic potato grown in your organic soil is one you want to eat.

You can do that yes ,not always good results but
