    T'Bird, I have to confess I had the bib out and then promptly put it away again. I might get used to his new hirsute appearance but I'm like Popeye's Olive Oyl in preferring a clean shaven man. I will give it a watch though and who knows - I might be converted!

    Ooh no LB, I haven't seen Aiden Turner in the trailer 😍 Has he still got a beard, I much prefer him without. I'll probably record it and will record Adrian Dunbar too. 
    Sunny here, but when I went into the conservatory just now, it felt much cooler than usual. What happened to the heatwave we were supposed to get this week. 
    Are you visiting your family today LB.
    We have all the poppets and mummys and daddys coming today. Hope the weather stays nice so they can play in the garden.

    Another sunny and warm morning. 🤮 I'm quite stuffed of it now. I'll have my tea and later must sow some seeds in containers. Last night I made few jars of tomatoes sauce for winter, harvested grapes, and today will rest and prepare for tomorrow. Hope we will get some of promised rain next week.

    Morning all.

    Another warm & sunny one with no rain in the forseeable future. Fortunately it's been a tad fresher these last few days so much easier for doing things, but I still feel like you @Ante1 . This summer has been brutal and very hard work. I don't know how Ante has kept up with his smallholding - a medium sized garden has been hard enough. I've always liked autumn but, this year,  I really can't wait for it to arrive.

    Thanks for the heads up about Ridley (I usually like Mr Dunbar's programmes) and The Suspect. Have set them to record. 

    I see Uni Challenge and Only Connect are back with us tomorrow - hooray! In fact, tomorrow seems to be a Uni C at 60 specials night so that's all set as well. 

    Must get up and get on - lots to do.

    Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Good morning everyone. I see Topbird is getting ready for her travels again, hope you find it restful and refreshing @Topbird after all the upsets you've been through lately. Life can drag you down sometimes with its ups and downs.
    Lovely garden picture @Ladybird4 for this thread. Wish my garden looked like that.
    @star gaze lily, what a fun and lovely day you will have with all the family and poppets coming round. Have a lovely time.
    Our new armchair arrived safely yesterday, OH was comfortably ensconced in it for the football and will be again today. Might end up being like @Biglad's chair.

    Hazel, I'm so glad to see you. Hope you will enjoy in new armchair.

    T'bird, well, we both expecting Autumn as soon as possible. This summer was harsh indeed. About my smallholding, it was, and still is, a huge task. I spent lots of water and hard work. Next year must be better.
